Events

One of DIFIS’ main goals is connecting social policy research on an interdisciplinary level, as well as promoting knowledge transfer both within academia and between researchers, policy-makers and practitioners. To this aim, DIFIS regularly organizes various types of events. For an overview of all DIFIS events, please refer to our German website.

Against this background, the annual two-day FIS Forum serves as a central dialogue platform for the interdisciplinary exchange within the field of social policy. Once every two years, the FIS Forum extends its focus to international discourses in social policy in the form of a Social Policy Biennial, as is the case with the FIS Forum and Social Policy Biennale 2024.
