  • The Journal of Social Policy Research is planning a special issue on the topic of ‘Social Policies and Regulation of Work in the Platform Economy’. The special issue is being organised and (co-)edited by Fabian Beckmann and Fabian Hoose, the two initiators of the issue network ‘Platforms - Work – Regulation’.   • Research field 2 ("Modern world of work") is commssioning a scientific expertise on the topic "Economic transformation and the world of work: strategies, challenges and perspectives based on company case studies".  The aim of the expertise is to provide a systematic literature review of company case studies that examine strategies for managing economic transformation. You can find the full terms of reference for the award of tender for the scientific expertise here. Tenders can be submitted until 15 May 2025.
  • November 3–4, 2025: FIS Forum on the topic "Solidarity in the Welfare State – Research for an Inclusive Society" in Leipzig. The Issue Network is participating in the FIS Forum 2025 and is calling for the submission of contributions. The Issue Network is issuing its own Call for Abstracts for German- or English-language contributions that engage with the topic "Between Universalism and Particularism: Solidarity and Regulation in the Platform Economy" at the FIS Forum 2025.
